Rainwater Tanks with Self-Cleaning Filter
Designed to store rainwater collected from roofs, terraces, or other surfaces and reuse it for watering green areas, vegetable gardens, and agricultural crops
Introduction
What is the use of a Rainwater Harvesting System? Prefabricated concrete Recovery and Storage Tanks allow for storing rainwater collected from roofs, terraces, or other surfaces and reusing it for watering green areas, vegetable gardens, and agricultural crops.
Specifically:
- Rainwater must be recovered using prefabricated concrete tanks from the roofs of floricultural and nursery company greenhouses, which are major water users and exploit groundwater through artesian wells;
- Rainwater must be recovered using prefabricated concrete tanks to accumulate it and use it for watering greenery;
- Rainwater must be recovered using prefabricated concrete tanks to accumulate it and dispose of it in sewers or ditches after the weather event to prevent flooding and overflowing;
- Rainwater recovery by installing systems with prefabricated concrete tanks offers several advantages, such as preventing the overloading of sewage networks when rain falls intensely and for a short period;
- Rainwater recovery allows for increased efficiency of purifiers (or: water treatment plants).

Dimensioning
For the calculation of the volume of the Rainwater Recovery Tank, the average dry period is taken into account, which is the number of days during which the absence of rain may occur.
E.g., considering an average dry period of 30 days, we hypothesize a daily consumption of 270 liters, therefore:
270 x 365 = 98,550 liters x 30:365 = 8,100 - 9,000 liters useful storage volume. Therefore, the prefabricated concrete Rainwater Recovery Tank must be at least 10,000 liters (10 m³).
