BIM: What it is and What it's For

According to the National Institutes of Building Science, BIM (Building Information Modeling) is defined as the "digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of an object."
Therefore, when we talk about BIM, we are not talking about a product or software, but rather an "information container for a building" into which both graphic data (such as drawings) and specific technical attributes can be inserted.

BIM: What are the Advantages?

Templates developed using BIM technology offer clear advantages such as increased efficiency and productivity, ensuring optimization of both costs and time. BIM technology also guarantees fewer errors and less downtime, greater interoperability, and more precise control of the entire project.

BIM: Main Software

Among the most important BIM Software is Autodesk Revit.
This software is dedicated to architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) design; projects are saved in .rte, .rvt, and .rfa formats. Revit also allows interaction with other Autodesk software.
